We own our own surf school: Cornwall Surf Academy, which is based out at Holywell Bay. We offer a wide range of surf lessons and courses to suit everyone from total beginners to intermediate surfers.
Holywell Bay is a beautiful, quiet beach away from the busy Newquay crowds which makes it absolutely perfect for learning to surf on. Our facilities boast free parking, changing rooms, showers and catering facilities. Alternatively if you don’t fancy travelling far then we also run lessons from Newquay town beaches just let us know which location you would prefer.
We have many years experience coaching all over the world working with all
kinds of groups including schools, youth groups sports teams and royal
marines! We love to meet new people and share with them the joy of surfing
in a controlled environment
All of our coaches are BSA (British Surfing Association) qualified surf instructors and RLSS qualified beach lifeguards they are also CRB checked and approved. Most important of all is that we have heaps of experience and enthusiasm!!
Our lessons:
Half Day start 10am or 2pm and finish 12.30pm or 4.30pm £25
Full Day start 10am and finish 4.30pm £35
2 Day course 2 half day lessons & 2 half day hire £60
3 Day course 3 lessons 3 hire sessions £80
4 Day course 4 lessons 4 hire sessions £100
5 Day course 5 lessons 5 hire sessions £125
Our lessons begin with a beach safety session followed by a short bit of theory teaching you how to catch. We then hit the water to practice what we have learnt before returning to the beach to learn how to stand up!! Then our final water session to hopefully see you catching waves and riding all the way to the beach. Following sessions will look at gaining confidence in the water and catching green waves. We suggest you book early to avoid disappointment as the diary is filling quickly for summer however we will always try and accommodate you.
we offer great value surfing deals for individuals or group bookings and guests staying at our lodge or apartment.
We are also work closely with other companies who can offer, paintballing sessions, go-carting, deep sea fishing, a relaxing day at the spa and a beautiful 3 coarse meal at a well renowned restaurant...
